HEALING SCRIPTURES

HEALING SCRIPTURES

The purpose of this category is for you to look up this scriptures on healing, let your faith rise, and claim them, so you can be healed of any disease.  Remember, with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27), and everything is possible for the person who believes (Mark 9:23).  May you be that person who believes and receive a miracle healing!!

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR HEALING

Jesus paid the price for everybody’s salvation, miracles, healing, provision and much more.  However, as with all of God’s promises, there is a condition.  In order for God to even consider healing you, you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Once you accept Jesus in your heart, He becomes your Lord, and His Father becomes your Father.  That’s right; you become a child of God.  What father knowing that his child is ill would not do everything possible to see him/her healed?

God wants to see you healed and praising Him.  After all, Jesus came to earth that you may have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10).  If you are ill, you are not having that abundant life that God promised you.  Pray something like this:  “Father God, I am not living that abundant life that Jesus promised me.  In the name of Jesus, I command the illness to leave my body and my life immediately.”

A prayer becomes much stronger when two or more people come in agreement praying for the same thing (Matthew 18:19).  Get as many of your relatives and friends to pray on a daily basis that you will be healed.  The best thing is for them to physically pray over you in faith, but if that is not possible, ask them to pray in their homes at a given time.  For example, ask all of them to pray the same prayer at 10:00 p.m.  God will hear them.

Don’t just pray—be expecting a miracle.  If you don’t expect the miracle to happen, don’t even pray.

2 KINGS 20:5

“…Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: ‘I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you…’”

Although God was sending this message to king Hezekiah , since He is impartial (Acts 10:34) and since He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) this message can be for you.  If you are ill, pray to God, so He can heal you just as He did king Hezekiah.

Matthew 10:1

“And when He (Jesus Christ) had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.” You know what?  We have that power because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and because He does not show favoritism (Romans 2:11,  Luke 20:21, Galatians 2:6, Ephesians 6:9, Colossians 3:25, Acts 10:34,  Deuteronomy 10:17). Therefore if He gave that power to His disciples, He gives it to us also.

If you are ill, pray over yourself and have the elders of the church or some real believers (people of faith) pray over you (James 5:13-15).

MATTHEW 9:29-30

Two blind men asked Jesus to healed them.  Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to this?”  They both said, “Yes, Lord.”  When He saw their faith, He said, “According to your faith let it be to you.” Of course, they were healed immediately.

Do you believe God can heal you?  If you do, and you ask Him in faith, He might just do it.  But if you are not Christian, or don’t have any faith, don’t even ask Him.

ACTS 19:11-12

“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.”

The handkerchiefs and aprons were just a point of contact, so the people could release its faith through them. Do not fall into the trap, as some religions do, of worshiping the handkerchiefs, the aprons, the anointing oil or anything else.  God is the only person or entity we should worship.   Anything else is idolatry and God hates it.

ACTS 5:14-15

“And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that a least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.”

Peter’s shadow was a point of contact between them, their faith and God.  They were healed because of their faith.  If you are ill, you may also use a point of contact; could be a prayer, a scripture, a cloth, holy water, etc..  But no matter what it is, remember that Jesus Christ is the one doing the healing, and that He is doing it because of your faith.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14

“If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

I am not insinuating that you are a sinner, but since all of us sin, it would help you to take inventory of your life.  If there is some sin in your life of which you have not repented or confessed to God, repent, confess it to Him, and ask Him for your healing.

JOHN 9:1-7

“Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.  And His disciples asked Him, saying, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’

Jesus answered, ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.

As long as I am in the world I am the light of the world.’  When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.

And He said to him, ‘Go wash in the pool of Siloam,’(which is translated Sent).  So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”

If Jesus was willing and able to heal a man who had been blind from birth, He is willing and able to heal you.  You have to come to Him in faith and ask Him to heal you, just as He healed that blind man.  Jesus does not change and does not have favorite people.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

EXODUS 15:26

“If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.  For I am the Lord who heals you.”

This was God’s promise to the Israelites, but it can also be yours.  If you are righteous, keep God’s statutes, repent of your sins, ask God to forgive you, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and ask Him to heal you, He may just do that.

Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), so you must ask for your healing in faith.  In other words, you must believe that God hears you, that He loves you, and that He will heal you.

EXODUS 23:25

“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water.  And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”  It is very clear that if you serve God, He will bless you, and heal you.  Let the faith rise within you! !

ACTS 9:32-34

“Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda.  There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed.  And Peter said to him, ‘Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you.  Arise and make your bed.’  Then he arose immediately.”

If Jesus healed Aeneas, He can heal you.  What you have to do is ask Him, have faith, thank Him, and wait faithfully for your healing.  Let your faith rise! !

PSALM 103:2-3

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:  Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases…”  The Word of God tells us not to forget His benefits.  One of those benefits is healing.  If you are a Christian, a son/daughter of God, then you can claim your healing.

God’s promises always have a condition.  The condition for you to be able to claim your miracle is for you to be a born-again Christian.  The condition for you to receive an answer to that prayer is for you to have faith.

GOD HEALS (Isaiah 55:8-9)

“Now see that I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; nor is there any who can deliver from my hand.”  It is very clear that God is sovereign and that He is the one who gives life and takes life; wounds and heals; sends a soul to heaven or to hell.  He has the final say.

If you are ill, put yourself in His hands.  Trust Him and put your faith in Him to heal you.  If you are seeing a doctor, pray for God to guide him in treating you.  Since God ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), He can use doctors, medicine, prayers, and the supernatural to heal you.  All He wants from you is faith.

You cannot buy a miracle.  Don’t send money to any evangelist who promises you will be healed if you send one thousand dollars or so.  God is interested in your heart and your faith, not your check book.  If you send money, you may wind up losing your money and your faith.

JOHN 4:49-53

“The nobleman said to Him, ‘Sir, come down before my child dies!’  Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your son lives.’  So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.  And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, ‘Your son lives!’  Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better, and they told him, ‘Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.’  So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, ‘Your son lives.’  And he himself believed and his whole household.”

Why was the man’s son healed?  He was healed because the father believed when Jesus said, ‘Go your way; your son lives.’  Regardless of the report the doctors have given you, if you truly believe, God can heal you.  Don’t give up, don’t lose faith, and don’t lose hope.  Just remember with God all things are possible (Mark 10:27), and everything is possible for the person who believes (Mark 9:23).

ACTS 9:33-34

“There Peter found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed.  Peter said to him, ‘Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.’ Then he arose immediately.”  Peter told the man that Jesus had healed him.  If the man had not believed Peter nor taken any action, he would have stayed bedridden.  What healed him?  His faith in Jesus.

ACTS 14:8-10

“In Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.  This man heard Paul speaking.  Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, ‘Stand up straight on your feet!’ And he leaped and walked.”

If that man who was a cripple from birth was able to walk, you can be healed from any illness you may have.  What is the key?  You must have faith.  The reason the Apostle Paul told the man to walk was because he saw that the man had enough faith to be healed.

If God notices that you have enough faith to be healed, and you ask Him, in faith, to heal you, He may just do that.  Mustard up all the faith you have and receive your healing.

JOHN 10:10

“The thief does not come except to steal, to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  Jesus is the one who is speaking.  The thief, of course, is the devil.

If you are ill or having problems, God is not causing them.  It could be because of bad decisions you made in the past, or the devil is attacking you.  Either way, God can help you.  You have to come to Him in faith, and ask Him to help you.  Not only is He able to help you, but He wants to do it.

If you are suffering from an illness, it is not God’s will.  Jesus came that you may have life abundantly, and apparently you are not.  You may pray like this:  “Father God, I am not living that abundant life that your Son Jesus promised me.  Please heal me from_____________as soon as possible.”

Another thing you can do if you are a Christian is rebuke the illness yourself; something like this:  “Diabetes, I do not accept you in my body.  In the name of Jesus and by His stripes, I command you to leave my body immediately.  By the Word of God in John 10:10, I declared that God has healed me.”

EXODUS 15:26

“If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.  For I am the Lord who heals you.”

The scripture is very clear that some of the diseases come from God when we are disobedient.  By the same taken, if we are obedient, He will not allow diseases to come on us, but if they come, He can heal us.  What does this mean to you?  If you are ill because you have been into sin, repent and change your ways.

Whether you are ill because of sin or because you are a victim of circumstances, pray to God and He can heal you.  Remember that He can forgive any sin, and He can heal any illness.

PSALM 107:20

“He sent His word and healed them, and He delivered them from their destructions.”  God does not change.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).  If he healed those people then, He can heal you now.  Ask God to send His word and heal you from whatever illness you may be suffering.

ISAIAH 53:5

“But He, Jesus, was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

You can claim that you are already healed.  Just before dying on the cross,  Jesus said (John 19:30):  “It is finished.”  That included your healing, but you have to believe it, and you have to claim it in faith.

PSALM 6:2

“Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak;  O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.”  This was a prayer by King David, but since God does not play favorites, He can hear you too, and heal you.

MATTHEW 9:20-22

“And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His (Jesus) garment; for she said to herself, ‘If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.’ But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter, your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour.”

Notice that Jesus said, “Your faith has made you well.”  It was because of her faith that she was healed.  If she had touched Him without faith, she would not have been healed.  By the same token, if you are ill, and need a healing, cry out to God in faith and He will hear you.  He may heal you instantly, or it may take time, but He will do it.

The worst thing  that can happen to a Christian is that, for one reason or another, he is not healed here on earth, but then he receives it in heaven, which is a lot better than being here.

MATTHEW 4:23-24

“Now Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.  Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases, and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.”

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).  He does not change. That means the way he healed those people, He can heal you.  Your healing will not happen automatically; You have to ask God in faith for it.

MARK 11:23

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be  removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have what he says.”

That mountain can be your illness; cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, rheumatism, arthritis, bipolar disease, fever, Parkinson’s disease, heart, lung, liver, or kidney complications, etc.. Address your disease, in the name of Jesus, and command it to leave your body immediately.  You don’t discuss or negotiate with it, you demand it to leave.

1 PETER 2:24

“(Jesus) Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”  Notice it says, “You were healed.”  It does not say, “You will be healed.”  You have to declare that you are already healed.

JAMES 5:14-15

“Is anyone among you sick?  Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

You have your marching orders.  If you are ill, let the pastor or the elders of your church pray for you.  If you don’t have a church, find God-believing, faith-filled, Christian people to pray for you.  God will hear them, and He will hear you.

MATTHEW 6:33

“Seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

What do you need to do if you need a healing?  You have to seek first the kingdom of God, and then He will heal you.  You cannot live an ungodly life, ignore God altogether, live by your standards, not God’s, and then expect Him to heal you.

What can you do?  Repent, ask God for forgiveness and offer Him something.  That something can be:  I’m going to pray fifteen minutes every day.  I’m going to read the Bible half hour daily. I’m going to fast one meal a day for a week.  I’m not going to watch movies or TV programs with sex, violence or witch craft.  The possibilities are endless.
