YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GOSPEL
God does not want us to have any other gospel than the one He gave us. The word gospel means good news. Through scriptures we are going to explain exactly what those good news really are.
GENESIS 1:26-27
“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in Our own image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Part of the good news is that God exists, and that He created everything that exists, including us.
JOHN 1:14
“And the Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
God, in the person of Jesus, became flesh – a human being. This, of course, is part of the good news for us.
1 PETER 3:17-18
“For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom He also went and preached to the spirits in prison.”
The good news is that Jesus suffered, shed His blood, died and resurrected from the dead on the third day to pay for the sins of the whole human race.
ROMANS 5:6-8
“For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”
The good news is that God did not wait for us to repent, to change our ways, to come to Him or anything else, but instead Jesus paid the ultimate price giving us the opportunity to receive Him as our Lord and Savior, so we could receive salvation.
JOHN 3:14-18
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him (Jesus) should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
The good news is that if we believe in the name and in the person of Jesus Christ, we are not condemned, but will have eternal life with God.
JOHN 14:5-7
“Thomas said to Him (Jesus), ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.’”
The good news is that we know the way to heaven is through Jesus and we also know that Jesus and the Father are one.
ROMANS 10:8-10
“But what does it say? The word is near
you, even in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”
The good news is that if we believe in our heart that Jesus is God, that He became human, that He lived on this earth about two thousand years ago, that He shed His blood to pay for our sins, that He died and rose again, and that if we confess it orally with our mouth, we do not have to pay for our sins, because Jesus already did it
JOHN 14:1-4
In John 14:1-4, What Jesus tells His disciples also applies to us: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
The good news is that Jesus is preparing a place for us in heaven because He is coming back for us in what has become known as “the rapture.”
Do not accept a false gospel or false teachings from some religions, so-called psychics, gurus, Dalai Lama, Buddha, Swami, Mohammed and many others. Pray to God, in the name of Jesus, and He will communicate with you in a way you will understand. God bless you!
NO TENDRAS OTRO EVANGELIO
GOD WILL PUT OBSTACLES
If one is going to do something that goes against God’s will, He will put heavy obstacles or barriers that are almost impossible to cross. If one is doing something that is in the middle of God’s will, the devil will also put obstacles. We have to know who is putting the obstacles.
EXODUS 14:25-27
“He (God) jammed[a] the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward[b] it, and the Lord swept them into the sea.”
The Egyptians were trying to enslave the Israelites once again going against God’s will and God put the Red Sea as a barrier they could not cross.
NUMBERS 22:26-31
“Then the Angel of the Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. And when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam; so Balaam’s anger was aroused and he struck the donkey with his staff. And the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said unto Balaam, ‘What have I done unto you that you have smitten me these three times?’ And Balaam said unto the ass, ‘Because you have mocked me: I wish there were a sword in mine hand, for now I would kill you.’ And the donkey said unto Balaam, ‘Am not I your donkey, upon which you have ridden ever since I was yours unto this day? was I ever disposed to do this to you?’ and he said, “No.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.”
King Balak wanted Balaam to curse the Israelites, which went totally against God’s will. That is why God did not allowed Balaam to curse His people.
ACTS 9:1-5
“Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. And as he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ And he (Paul) said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’”
Paul was going totally against God’s will, and God was not going to allow that. God even blinded Paul for three days. Paul understood what God was telling him, and he became an excellent servant of God.
GENESIS 19:9-11
The men of Sodom and Gomorrah were trying to have sex with the tow angels who were staying at Lot’s house before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. “And they said, ‘Stand back!’ Then they said, ‘This one came to sojourn, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worth with you than with them.’ So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. But the men (the angels) reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. And they (the angels) struck the men who were at the doorway with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.”
The obstacle or barrier for the men of Sodom and Gomorrah were two angels that God had sent.
Sometimes the barriers God puts up are physical and sometimes they are spiritual. Either way, if it’s God’s will for us not to do something we will not be able to do it. The devil also puts up barriers, but he does to keep us from doing God’s will. We can find out God’s will by reading the Bible. If having Bible knowledge we still do not know who is putting up the barriers – God or de devil, we need to pray and to ask God to make it clear to us.
Your barrier of not spending eternity in heaven with God is the devil. He might be telling you that religion, good works, being a good person or praying to any so-called god, such as Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed, Zeus, Isis, Thor, Ares, Shiva, Tlaloc, a virgin, a saint will get you to heaven. There is only one way to heaven and His name is Jesus (John 14:6). He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to Father God, except through Jesus. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, this is your opportunity to do so. If you want to spend eternity in heaven with God and not suffering in the lake of fire with Satan, in faith pray aloud the following prayer to God. He will hear you and will accept you as His son/daughter.
“Father God, I repent of all my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I believe, confess and declare that Jesus is Your Son, that He suffered, shed His blood, died and resurrected on the third day, and that He did all that to provide salvation for me. I ask Him to be my Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You, Father God. Amen!”

‘No’ respondió Balán.
Gracias, Dios Padre. Amén.”
GOD HATES IDOLATRY
God hates idolatry, which is worship of anything other than God. It is an insult to God our Creator when we worship someone else or something else other than Him. He is the only one that is worth worshiping.
EXODUS 20:3
“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Our God is jealous, and He does not allow any competition because He is the only true God. Leviticus 20:3 – “I (God) will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile my sanctuary and profane My holy name.”
Molech was a false god of the Ammonites and Moabites and some of the Israelites were sacrificing their children to it (Jeremiah 32:35). God hated their turning to a demon instead of worshiping Him.
LEVITICUS 26:1
“You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the Lord your God.”
God was telling the Israelites not to make idols of any type, to keep themselves from worshiping idols and to just worship Him. Our God is jealous and with good reason (Exodus 34:14), He created us.
1 JOHN 5:21
The apostle John is telling us: “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.” 1 Corinthians 10:7 – “And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, ‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.” 1 Corinthians 10:14 – “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.” Leviticus 19:4 – “Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods: I am the Lord your God.”
These scriptures make it very clear that God does not want us to turn to idols. An idol is not just someone or something called god, it can be anything. It can be an object, a sport, music, literature, an art or anything that is more important to us than God.
ROMANS 1:22-23
(People) “Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-and birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things.” Isaiah 46:6-7 – “They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance; they hire a goldsmith and he makes it a god; they prostrate themselves, yes they worship. They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it and set it in its place, and it stands; from its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer nor save him out of his trouble.” Men make images of different things to worship them, but their false gods cannot answer them.
REVELATION 9:20-21
When this time of dispensation is over, God will send some plagues to judge the people who are against Him, but they will not repent. Revelation 9:20-21 – “But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the work of their hands (idols), that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”
Many people love their idols a lot more than they love God. Even some people who call themselves “Christians” have different idols. The way I understand the scriptures many of them will not make it to heaven.
JEREMIAH 7:15-16
The Lord speaking to and through the prophet Isaiah tells us what He thinks about idolaters. Jeremiah 7:15-16 – “And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brothers – the whole posterity of Ephraim. Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, nor make intercession to Me; for I will not hear you.” It is clear that God hates idolatry.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:9
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” Idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of God. That means no salvation.
REVELATION 22:14-15
“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city (heaven). But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” Revelation 21:7-8 – “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
The idolaters along with other sinners who never received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will spend eternity in the lake of fire.
THERE IS POWER IN THE SPOKEN WORD
There is power in the spoken word. We can destroy people or raise them up with the words we speak over them. We have to be very careful how we speak to children because they are the most extremely vulnerable to negative words.
Words become much more powerful when they come out of the scriptures and when they are used in the name of Jesus. We ought to use scriptures to defeat the devil, to pray to God, and to declare miracles.
PSALM 33:6
“By the word of the Lord (Jesus) the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.” Genesis 1:3 – “Then God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” God spoke everything into existence by the power of His word.
PROVERBS 18:20-21
“A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth, and from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Our words have the power to uplift a person or to destroy him. The results will be according to what that person has thought, what he has spoken and how he has spoken it.
MATTHEW 12:35-37
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I (God) say to you that for every idle word men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
God is going to judge every single word we speak. We have to be careful not to deny the existence of the Holy Trinity or to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit (Mark 3:29).
JOHN 6:63
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I (Jesus) speak to you are spirit and they are life.” 1 Thessalonians 1:5 – “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but in the power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.” This is what the apostle Paul told the Thessalonians.
SCRIPTURES TO CLAIM AND DECLARE WHEN NECESSARY
Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” There are no exceptions. Romans 8:37 – “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” If we have Jesus we are more than conquerors. Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,’ says the Lord.” 1 John 4:4 – “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He (God) who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world.” Mark 9:23 – “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 11:23-24 – “For assuredly, I (Jesus) say to you whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” The key factor is to pray in faith and believe that it
will come to pass. Isaiah 55:11 – “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.” God is talking here, but if we pray, claim and declare the word in His name, it will come to pass.
No matter what scriptures we use we have to pray and claim them in the name of Jesus. Read the following scriptures: John 14:14, 15:16, 16:23. All three say basically the same: Whatever you ask God in the name of Jesus, He will do.
Keep in mind there in power in the words we speak and that they become much more powerful when we use the scriptures. The devil and the demons flee when we rebuke them in the name of Jesus.

LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD
The physical life of human beings and of many animals is in the blood. The spiritual life of human beings is in the blood of Jesus. The blood Jesus shed paid for the sins of every human being that has ever lived. It is not automatic we have to accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
LEVITICUS 17:10-11
“And whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among you, who eats any blood, I (GOD) will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.”
God was talking to the Israelites through His servant Moses. God would talk to Moses and Moses would relay the message to all the Israelites. God makes it clear that the life is in the blood.
ROMANS 3:23-25
“For all of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth to be a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because of His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
Propitiation means to make an appeasement or atonement for an offense. Our sins offend God and there is nothing we can do to make it right. That is why God offered His Son as our Redeemer. Jesus’ blood washes away our sins if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
ROMANS 5:7-10
“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
Jesus shed His blood, died and resurrected for people who do not even know He exists, for people who deny His existence, for people who are worshiping idols, and for people who will never accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
REVELATION 1:4-6
“John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
Jesus cleansed us with His own heavenly blood. When we enter heaven we will be completely clean.
JOHN 6:53-57
“Then Jesus said to them (the Israelites), ‘Most assuredly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.”
We do communion to eat His flesh and drink His blood ceremoniously in remembrance of His death on the cross to pay for our sins.
WAIT UPON THE LORD
Many times we get in trouble or things do not work out for us because we get ahead of God. We do not wait upon the Lord and we act too quickly. His timing is perfect, but we do not always understand it. We have a tendency to get impatient and act impulsively. Since we do not know when Jesus is coming or when we are going to die, we should be waiting patiently for that time.
JEREMIAH 29:11-13
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
God has good plans for us, but we have to come to Him in prayer, and wait for His timing patiently.
ISAIAH 40:30-31
“Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, the shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
God will protect His own and give them the wisdom and strength needed to survive when others are failing.
PSALM 103:1-5
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems you from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Our strength does not come from our body or from our character; it comes from God. He gives us the strength necessary to overcome the obstacles of life.
PSALM 27:14
“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” When we feel weak, we should wait on the Lord and He will strengthen us. It is His will for us to come to Him and to wait for His timing.
LAMENTATIONS 3:25-26
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” The Lord will take home those who are waiting for the rapture. Let’s hope it happens this year.
HEBREWS 9:27-28
“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.”
We, who are Christians, are waiting to meet Jesus, whether it be during the rapture or when we leave this world. Either way, we will be with Him throughout eternity.
There are two kinds of waiting upon the Lord. One is to be waiting for the rapture, so we can go home with Him, and the other one is to live our lives according to His timing and His plans, not ours

GOD ALLOWS DISOBEDIENCE TO A CERTAIN POINT
Our God allows disobedience to a certain point. When people go beyond that point, God sends His judgment. He has done it throughout history, He is doing it now, and He will do it in the future. No entity and no group of people is exempt from it.
ISAIAH 55:6
“Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” This clearly indicates that there can come a time when God cannot be found and a time when He is not near to the person. That time is when a person, a group of people, a nation or humanity has sinned so much and moved away from God so far that God has given up on them. Then His judgment comes.
HEBREWS 3:12-13
In Hebrews 3:12-13, the apostle Paul is warning the people not to move away from God because it could be dangerous. “Beware, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” The love of sin is what separates us from God. It comes in gradually, then it gets stronger and stronger until it dominates the person
REVELATION 12:7-9
“And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Satan was one of God’s most powerful angels, but because he crossed the line, God expelled him from heaven.
GENESIS 3:23-24
Because Adam and Eve openly disobeyed God, He cast them out of the garden of Eden and away from His presence. Genesis 3:23-24 – “Therefore the Lord God sent him (Adam) out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He (God) drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”
GENESIS 6:5-7
“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” The wickedness was so great that God could not stand it anymore, so other than Noah and his family, God destroyed every single human being.
GENESIS 19:13-14
Two angels were sent by the Lord to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because their sin was so great. Lot and his two daughters were spared because they were not part of the regional sin.
Genesis 13-14, the angels told Lot: “’For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.’ So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, ‘Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!’ But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.” The angels did destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Every single human being died, except Lot and his two daughters.

WE SHOULD REMAIN VIGILANT
God wants us to remain vigilant because no one knows when Jesus will come for His children. He could come at any moment and we need to be ready. When He comes, the people who are not ready will stay behind to suffer the consequences of the tribulation and maybe even the lake of fire if they do not receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
MATTHEW 24:36-39
In Matthew 24:36-39, Jesus tells His disciples as to when He will come back for His followers. “But of that day an hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.”
In other words, everything will seem normal to the people, but in the twinkling of an eye Jesus will come in what it has become known as “the rapture.” We need to be vigilant and we need to be ready.
MARK 13:33-37
In Mark 13:33-37, Jesus is trying to make it clear to His disciples and to everyone else that we need to remain vigilant because we do not know when He is coming back. “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming – in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning – lest coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
In this parable Jesus is the owner of the house and we are the doorkeeper. We have to stay vigilant because we do not know when He is coming for us. We can be vigilant by praying, tithing, serving God and being obedient to His word.
LUKE 12:37-40
Jesus is telling His disciples and us to be ready at all times. When He comes there will be no time for repenting, reading the Bible or asking God to forgive us. The ones who are ready will go to heaven, and the ones who are not will stay behind and suffer God’s wrath. Luke 12:37-40 –
“Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
MATTHEW 25:5-13
“But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard, ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish (ones) said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man (Jesus) is coming.’”
The bridegroom, of course, is Jesus. The five wise virgins are the born-again Christians who are close to God. The five foolish virgins represent the people who claim to be religious, but are not living a life worthy of being one – they could belong to a religions that does not honor Jesus, or so-called Christians who are serving God for the wrong reasons.
We should be vigilant at all times because we do not know when Jesus is coming. Being vigilant does not just mean to be watching for the signs of His coming, but to be living a righteous Christian life according to the will of God.
THE WIDE ROAD LEADS TO DESTRUCTION
Most people follow the ways of the world and not the ways of God. The ways of the world are the wide road that leads to destruction. The wide road leads to sin, such as drugs, liquor, sex out of marriage, violence, stealing, cheating, lying, and in essence anything that is immoral, illicit, illegal, or indecent.
MATTHEW 7:13-14
In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus said: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
LUKE 13:23-25
“And He (Jesus) went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one (a man) said to Him, ‘Lord, are there few who are saved?’ And He (Jesus) said to them, ‘Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. For once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where are you from?’”
The only way to heaven is through the narrow gate, which happens to be Jesus (John 14:6). There is no other person, religion or way that can get one to heaven.
JOHN 10:7-9
“Then Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me; he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
Jesus is the door to the kingdom of God. There is no other way to enter heaven’s gates.
GENESIS 19:12-15
Then the men (angels) said to Lot, ‘Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city – take them out of this place! For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.’ So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, ‘Get up, and get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!’ But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking. When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, ‘Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of this city.’”
Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they had taken the wide road that leads to destruction.
About two thousand years ago, they used to say, “All roads lead to Rome.” Now days some people are saying that all roads lead to heaven. That is not true because there is only one road that leads to heaven, and that road is Jesus. He is the only one who suffered, shed His blood and gave up His physical life to pay for our sins. Even that would not be enough if He had not been God in the flesh. He is now in heaven at the right hand of His Father interceding for us.
If you are traveling on the wide road, which is any road that is not Jesus, when you arrive at your destination, it will be hell and not heaven. If you want to go to heaven, leave the wide road and make a u-turn to the narrow road.

MAN DOES NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE
We are God’s creation, His children, and He does not want us to live only by the material things. We are material beings but at the same time we are spiritual ones. God wants us to live in a material world by His spiritual word.
DEUTERONOMY 8:2-3
“And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, to know whether you would keep His commandments or not. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.”
Moses was reminding the Israelites how God had a motive for taking them through the desert, how He had taken care of them, and that man does not live by bread alone, but by the word of God. Jesus is the Word of God in human form.
MATTHEW 4:1-4
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter (the devil) came to Him, he said, ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’ But He (Jesus) answered and said, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.’”
Jesus Himself told the devil that we should not live by bread alone, but by the word of God.
MATTHEW 6:31-33
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘ What shall we wear?’ ‘For all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.’”
We need to seek first the kingdom of God and should try to do His will in all circumstances.
MATTHEW 22:36-40
A lawyer of the Pharisees was trying to trick Jesus and in Matthew 22:36-40 asked Him: “’Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second one is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.’”
A full life is not one where we have all our needs met and we just do all the things we like. That would be living by bread alone. A full life is one lived by the will of God, not ours.
LUKE 22:39-42
“And (Jesus) coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. When He came to the place, He said to them, ‘Pray that you may not enter into temptation.’ And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, ‘Father, if it is Your will remove this cup from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.’”
Jesus did not live by bread alone, but by the word and will of His Father. We should try to do the same. The will of God is clearly stated in the Bible. We should read it, learn it, and try to live by it. If we do, not only will we receive blessings on this life, but we will spend eternity with God.

NOT EVERYONE
Some people think that everyone goes to heaven. Others think that if one is a member of a certain religion he will go to heaven. Then there are the ones who think that being a nice person will get one to heaven. There are also those who think that God has a scale, and that He weighs the good and the bad that a person has done throughout his lifetime. According to them if the good deeds outweigh the bad deeds that person will go to heaven. Unfortunately for all those people who are misinformed, the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.
MATTHEW 7:21-23
As Jesus was teaching He said: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ ‘And the I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”
What is the will of Father God for our salvation? It is for us for us to repent of our sins, to ask Him to forgive us, to receive His Son as our Lord and Savior and for us to sin no more.
GENESIS 3:22-24
Adam and Eve had perfect communion with Jesus, and their salvation was assured, but they disobeyed Him, and they were cast out away from God’s presence. “Then the Lord God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.’ Therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”
Adam and Eve could say, “Lord, Lord,” but because of their disobedience they were cast out of the garden of Eden, which in actuality to them represented heaven. Not everyone who claims to be holy will go to heaven.
GENESIS 19:13-14
Lot had two daughters who were married but not living with their husbands yet. Lot was Abraham’s nephew and apparently had become a believer through God and Abraham. His two future sons-in-law were believers through Lot. They could have been saying, “Lord, Lord,” but because of their disobedience they died along with all the people in Sodom and Gomorrah. In Genesis 19:13-14, the angels told Lot: “For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.” So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, and get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.”
MATTHEW 27:3-5
Judas was with Jesus for three and a half years, and probably said, “Lord, Lord,” many times, but he is not in heaven. Matthew 27:3-5 – “Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He (Jesus) had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, ‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.’ And they said, ‘What is
that to us? You see to it!’ Then he (Judas) threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.”
JOHN 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” In John 14:6, Jesus told Doubting Thomas, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” In Romans 10:9 – 10, the apostle Paul Said: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”
You may say, “Lord, Lord” a thousand times, may do hundreds of good works, may be the nicest person in the world, may be the most religious person, but if you have never asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, you will not make it to heaven. If you do not want to spend eternity in hell suffering with the devil and his demons, then in all sincerity, humility and in faith pray aloud the following prayer to God. He will hear you, will forgive all your sins, and will receive you as His son/daughter. You will be heaven bound.
“Father God, I repent of all my sins. I ask You, in the name of Your Son Jesus, to show me mercy and forgive me. I believe, declare and confess that Jesus shed His blood, died on the cross, resurrected on the third day and that He is now in heaven. I receive Him as My Lord and Savior as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You Father! Amen.”

‘He pecado les dijo, porque he entregado sangre inocente.’
Gracias, Dios Padre. Amén.”

WE HAVE A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY
Opportunities come and go. In many cases once they are gone they are gone forever. We have to take advantage of every situation that comes along. Of course, we need to pray and ask God if it’s really an opportunity or something that looks appealing now, but will bring us negative consequences in the long run.
JAMES 4:14
“Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
Compared to eternity our lives are not even the blink of an eye. In most cases our actual productive years are around fifty. Some people do not even have that many. Some of them become ill, others have an accident, while some die at an early age.
LUKE 6:12-13
“Now it came to pass in those days that He (Jesus) went up to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, He called His disciples to Him; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles.”
The disciples spent three and a half years learning who God is and how He wants us to live. That was their window of opportunity. Eleven of them took advantage of that time, but one of them did not.
EXODUS 3:10-12
God is talking to Moses from the burning bush. “’Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.’ But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?’ So He (God) said, ‘I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on the mountain.’”
Moses did go to Egypt and brought the people out of bondage. That was his window of opportunity. At first he did not want to do it, but God convinced him.
GENESIS 19:12-13
“Then the men (angels) said to Lot, ‘Have you anyone else here?’ Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city – take them out of this place! For we will destroy this place because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”
Lot and his two daughters took advantage of the window of opportunity by leaving, but the two sons-in-law did not and neither did his wife as she disobeyed the angels by looking back
MARK 5:25-29
“Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment; for she said, ‘If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.’ Immediately the fountain of her blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.”
She had a window of opportunity of being healed and she took advantage of it. All of us have windows of opportunity and we should not hesitate, but do the best we can while we can.
Right in front of you, you have the most important window of opportunity. That opportunity is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. In all humility and sincerity pray to God aloud the following prayer: “Dear God, I repent of all my sins. Please forgive me. I believe, confess and declare that Jesus is Your Son, that He suffered and died on the cross to pay for my sins. I accept His sacrifice as well as accepting Him as my Lord and Savior. I also ask the Holy Spirit to live in me, so He can counsel, comfort and guide me. Thank You, Holy Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit. Amen.”
DO NOT LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING
God does not want us to lean on our own understanding because our understanding is limited, while His is not. He knows and sees the past, the present and the future of the entire world and universe, while all we can see is the present right in front of us. God wants us to lean on His understanding.
ISAIAH 55:8-9
“’For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.’” God’s ways, thoughts and principles are much, much higher than those of any human being. That is why we should pray for God to enlighten us before making any decision that affects us or that affects other people.
PSALM 103:11-14
“For as far as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.” Since God created us, He knows everything about us. Therefore in order to know ourselves better we need to get to know God as much as we can. We should live by His wisdom and not by ours.
PROVERBS 3:5-7
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” Many times we get in trouble because we try to be wise in our own eyes.
JAMES 1:5
“If any of you lack wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Instead of leaning on our own understanding, we should ask God how to live our lives and how to proceed with any project we may be involved with or thinking of undertaking.
PROVERBS 12:15-16
“The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice. Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.” Fools lean on their own understanding and that’s why they make many mistakes. A wise person listens to advice from people and prays to God for guidance.
LUKE 18:10-13
In Luke 18:10-13, Jesus told this parable: “’Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people – robbers, evildoers, adulterers – or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ But the tax collector stood a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ ‘I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before
God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.’” When we lean on our own understanding we exalt ourselves, fall into false pride, sin and make many mistakes.
If you have leaned on your own understanding and have never received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are headed for hell. It does not matter what religion you exercise, how many good works you have done or how nice you may think you are. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Lean on God’s understanding and not yours by praying to God aloud with all faith, humility and sincerity the following prayer: “Father God, I repent of all my sins. I ask You to forgive me, as I believe, confess and declare that Jesus is Your Son, that He shed His blood, died a Roman cross, and resurrected on the third day. I ask Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You, Father God! Amen.”

Gracias, Dios Padre. Amén.”

APART FROM JESUS WE CAN DO NOTHING
When Jesus was teaching His disciples He told them: “Apart from me you can do nothing.” Of course we can do things, but the things we do without Jesus do not have everlasting value. Without Him we cannot make treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:20). The opposite is also true – With God we can do things that may seem impossible to us.
JOHN 15:4-5
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Jesus was clearly telling His disciples and us that whatever we do without Him has no value, but whatever we through Him and according to His will has everlasting value.
GENESIS 11:1-4
“Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, ‘Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.’ They had bricks for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, ‘Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.’”
They were doing that apart from God. Because of that, God confused their language and scattered them over the whole earth.
EXODUS 14:26-28
The Egyptians had had the Israelites in bondage for close to four hundred years. When the Israelites cried out to God, He heard their cry and sent Moses to liberate them. The Pharaoh with his whole army pursued them into the Red Sea and God drowned them. The Pharaoh was trying to do something apart from God. He was going against God’s will. Exodus 14:26-28 – “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots and on their horsemen.’ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained. But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.”
ACTS 16:25-26
The apostle Paul and Silas were thrown in prison for preaching and living the word of God. Acts 16:25-26 –“But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.”
Paul and Silas were doing God’s will in the name of Jesus. That’s why God was with them and the impossible was possible for them.
ACTS 9:40-42
Tabitha, a strong believer in Jesus Christ and well loved by the people, died and since the people knew that Jesus was performing miracles through Peter, they asked Peter to come and pray for her. Acts 9:40-42 – “But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, ‘Tabitha, arise.’ And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive. And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.”
After Jesus resurrected He kept on doing miracles through His disciples. They were strong in faith because they knew God personally.
Apart from Jesus you can do nothing that has everlasting value. You can change that right now. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, this is the perfect time to do so. In faith, humility and sincerity pray aloud the following prayer to God. He will hear you and He will be with you from now on.
Father God, I repent of all my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I believe, declare and confess that Jesus is Your Son, that He suffered, shed His blood, died on the cross and resurrected on the third day. He did all that to pay for the sins of the whole world. I not only accept His sacrifice, but I also ask Him to be My Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You Father! Amen.”

REST ON THE LORD
God does not want us to be frustrated, anxious, tired, anguished, afraid, sad, overwhelmed, defeated, in despair, or lacking the basic needs. Jesus came that we may have life, and have it in abundance (John 10:10).
PSALM 37:7-8
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret – it only causes harm.” When we wait upon the Lord patiently is when we learn to grow in faith.
MATTHEW 11:28-30
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus tells us: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Basically Jesus is telling us that He will carry our loads if we give them to Him. He can carry a lot more than we can and do a much better job than we would do.
PHILIPPIANS 4:6
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God.” God wants us to bring up to Him all our troubles because He wants to help us. Without worrying we are to do our best in trying to solve our problems. If we cannot solve them, for one reason or another, we should release them to God.
MATTHEW 6:28-31
In Matthew 6:28-31, as Jesus was teaching the multitudes He told them: “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’” Jesus is telling us not to worry because He will provide. Of course, we have to do the best we can, and then He will do the rest.
1 KINGS 17:10-16
There was a tremendous drought on the land, the prophet Elijah and a widow had no food, both of them were obedient and God provided. 1 Kings 17:10-16 – “So he (Elijah) arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, ‘Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.’ And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, ‘Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.’ Then she said, ‘As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.’ And Elijah said to her, ‘Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. For thus says the Lord God of Israel; ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she, he and her household ate for many days. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.”
Resting on the Lord means going to church, reading the Bible, believing the word of God, not only believing in God, but also believing Him, doing the best you can and instead of worrying releasing your problems to God.
However, you cannot rest on the Lord unless you are His son or daughter. If you are not one of His children yet, this is the perfect time for you to become one. Aloud in pure faith, and in all sincerity and humility pray the following prayer to God. He will hear you, and you will become one of His children.
“Father God, in the name of Your Son Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins. I repent of all of them. I believe, confess and declare that Jesus is Your Son, that He suffered, died on the cross and resurrected on the third day. He did all that to pay for my sins and to receive me as His child. I ask Him to be my Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You Father. Amen.”

THE GOSPEL
The word “gospel” as the apostles taught it meant “good news.” According to the dictionary, it means, “The record of Christ’s life and His teachings found in the first four books of the New Testament.” What are the good news?
MARK 1:15
In Galilee Jesus preached (Mark 1:15): “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Believing in the gospel means believing in Jesus Christ, and in what He taught.
HEBREWS 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:5 – “…I will never leave you nor forsake you.” The good news are that God never changes and that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Unfortunately we cannot say that about people.
MATTHEW 4:23
“Now Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” This is definitely good news that Jesus can heal any disease or sickness. He has done it before, and He is still doing it.
1 JOHN 1:8-9
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The good news here is that God will forgive us if we repent and ask Him to forgive us.
MARK 10:27
In Mark 10:27, Jesus said: “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” Then in Mark 9:23, He said: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” The good news is that with God’s help we can accomplish what otherwise would be impossible.
JAMES 4:7
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:10 – “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” The good news is that we have power over the devil and his demons. God lifts up the humble and the meek
JOHN 14:15-17
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He many abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it never sees Him nor know Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” The good news is that we are never alone; the Holy Spirit is in us and with us. Through the Holy Spirit we know what is right and what is wrong.
JOHN 3:16-17
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” The good news is that whoever repents, asks God to forgive him, and receives Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior will be saved. That means we do not have to spend eternity in hell but in heaven with God. Those are the best news of all.
JOHN 14:1-4
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me (Jesus). In My Father’s house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
This is definitely good news that Jesus has prepared a place for us in heaven. Jesus, the Father, and the place are already waiting for us.
All those good news I mentioned are not yours if you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You can change that by asking God to receive you. Read the following prayer, and when you understand it, pray it aloud to God in faith in all sincerity and humility. God will hear you, and you will become one of His children. You got hell to lose and heaven to gain.
“Father God, I repent of all my sins. Please forgive me. I believe, confess and declare that Jesus is Your Son, that He suffered, died on a Roman cross, and resurrected on the third day. I accept His sacrifice as payment for my sins. I ask Him to be my Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You Father. Amen.”

JUAN 14:15-17
“Si ustedes me aman, obedecerán mis mandamientos.
Gracias, Dios Padre. Amén.”

NOBODY COMES TO SALVATION UNLESS HE IS CALLED BY GOD
People don’t come to God because of their intelligence, wisdom, religion, family, education, social status, or because of anything else. They come to God and salvation because Father God has chosen them.
ISAIAH 46:8-11
In Isaiah 46:8-10, God speaking through the prophet Isaiah told His people: “’Remember this, and show yourselves men; recall to mind, o you transgressors. Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure, calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.’”
God knew us since before we were born and He has seen out entire life. He knows who repented before dying, and those are the people He has chosen for salvation.
JOHN 6:44
In John 6:44, Jesus told His disciples: “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.” Ephesians 1:4 – “For He (God) chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.” God our Father chose us – the true Christians – before the foundation of the world.
GENESIS 6:13-14
“And God said to Noah, ‘The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make yourself an ark of gopherwood, make room in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.” Because God knew their hearts and that they would do it, He chose Noah and his family for salvation and also to save life on this planet
GENESIS 12:1-4
“Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Get out of your country, from your kindred and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot (his nephew) went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.”
The people around Abraham believed in other so-called gods, but because God knew his heart and knew his end from his beginning, He chose him for salvation and also to be the father of the Jewish nation and the father of our faith.
EXODUS 3:9-10
God chose Moses to have salvation and to be His servant by bringing the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Exodus 3:9-10 – “Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me (God), and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
Acts 9:3-6
Saul, who later became known as the apostle Paul, was an enemy of the Christians and an enemy of Jesus Christ, but God knew that he would change. That’s why he was not only chosen to have salvation, but also to serve God in a big way. Acts 9:3-6 – “And as he (Paul) journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he (Paul) said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ So he, trembling and astonished, said, ‘Lord, what do You want me to do?’ And the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.’”
Since God knows the end from the beginning, He knows who will repent, ask God to forgive him/her and receive Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior. This is your opportunity to repent, ask God to forgive all your sins, and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you have never done that, pray aloud in all sincerity, humility and faith the following prayer to God. He will hear you, and you will have been chosen for salvation – spending eternity with God and not burning in hell eternally with the devil and his demons.
“Father God, in the name of Your Son Jesus, I repent of all my sins. I ask You to forgive me as I believe, confess and declare that Jesus suffered, shed His blood, died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to do Your perfect will. I accept the sacrifice He did to pay for my sins. I ask Him to be my Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You God. Amen.”

Gracias, Dios Padre. Amén.”

DISOBEYING GOD BRINGS CONSEQUENCES
God is our Creator and as such He is over everybody and everything. He is sovereign and the rules that He established have to be obeyed. There are serious consequences for the entities that openly disobey God’s commands.
REVELATION 12:7-9
The devil and one-third of the angels rebelled against God. They were cast out of heaven by the archangel Michael and his army of angels. “And war broke out in heaven: Michael with his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
GENESIS 2:16-17
“And the Lord God commanded the man (Adam), saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’” Genesis 3:6 – “So when the woman (Eve) saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:22-24 – “Then the Lord God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.’ Therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He (God) drove out the man (Adam); and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”
Because Adam and Eve disobeyed God they were removed from the presence of God.
GENESIS 4:8-12
Cain and Abel were Adam and Eve’s first sons. Because of jealousy Cain killed his brother. “Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, ‘Where is your brother?’ And he said, ‘I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?’ And He (God) said, ‘What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.’”
2 SAMUEL 11:2-5
“Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, ‘Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?’ Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, ‘I am with child.’”
King David had Uriah, Bathsheba’s husband, killed, so he could take her as his wife. Bathsheba had a son, but because of their sin God struck their child with sickness (2 Samuel 12:15) ,and on the seventh day the child died (2 Samuel 12:18). King David and Bathsheba paid a high price for their disobedience.
ACTS 5:1-5
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.’ Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear fell upon those who heard these things.”
Later on his wife came in and also died for the same lie. God cannot be mocked, deceived nor lied to. He knows everything about us and about everything else. Regardless of the circumstances we should not disobey God, lie to Him or try to deceive Him. We will pay a high price if we try to do that. The highest price, of course, is losing our salvation and spending eternity in hell or the lake of fire.

‘!Qué has hecho! exclamó el Señor.
¡No has mentido a los hombres sino a Dios!’
THOSE WHO PERSEVERE
Only those people who persevere until the end of their lives will have salvation. It is not just about receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, but about being faithful in doing God’s will in our lives. It’s not about how we start, but rather how we finish.
LUKE 8:5-8
Jesus told the following parable to a multitude of people: “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.”
Jesus was referring to people. Some hear the word of God, get excited, but that excitement does not last. Others hear the word of God, receive it, start living it, and never depart from it. God wants us to persevere in His word doing His will by being a light in this world.
GALATIANS 6:7-9
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
We need to continue doing God’s will as long as we live. Our goal should be to finish as strong Christians.
MATTHEW 10:21-22
In the following scripture, Jesus is telling His disciples what would happen in the last days: “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”
The people who remain in the Christian faith until their death will be saved from the second death, which is God’s eternal condemnation.
REVELATION 3:10-11
Part of the message that Jesus had for the church of Philadelphia is as follows: “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I come quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.”
When “The Tribulation” comes, if we are alive, God will protect us if we persevere doing His will, and not ours.
JAMES 1:12
“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been proved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
If we endure as children of God, we will receive the crown of life, which is salvation. Salvation only comes by the grace of God. We cannot receive it, unless we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, repent of our sins, ask Father God to forgive us, and if we persevere until the end.
2 TIMOTHY 4:7-8
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
This is what the apostle Paul wrote at the end of his life. He knew he would receive the crown of life because he had persevered until the end. We need to do the same.

2 TIMOTEO 4:7-8
ACT AND LIVE BY LOVE
God is love, and since He created us in His own image, He wants us to live in love. He wants us to love ourselves, love people and to love Him. Since we are human beings we have many flaws and sometimes we find it very difficult to love some people who are hard to love.
1 JOHN 4:7-9
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed His love among us. He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him”
God wants us to love ourselves, love Him and to love other people. After all, all of us were created by Him in His image. Everyone of us is His child, whether we admit it or not.
MATTHEW 22:37-40
“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second commandment is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
That is what Jesus answered a lawyer Pharisee who was trying to test Him by asking Him which was the greatest commandment.
EXODUS 2:15-17
“When Pharaoh heard of this matter (that Moses had killed an Egyptian) he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well. Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. Then the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.”
Moses did not know the daughters of the priest of Midian, but he decided to help them out in love. Later on, he married one of them.
JOSHUA 2:1-4
“Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly, saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there. And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, “Behold, men have come here tonight from the children of Israel to search out the country.” So the king of Jericho went out to Rahab, saying, ‘Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for they have come to search out all the country.’ Then the woman took the two men and hid them; and she said, ‘Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.’”
Rahab acted in love by protecting the two Israelite spies. She was actually putting her life and the lives of those of her household in danger.
LUKE 10:30-34
Jesus told the parable of “The Good Samaritan.” “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down the road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion on him, and went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he sat him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.”
The Israelites hated the Samaritans, but the Samaritan helped the helpless Israelite in love. God wants us to do the same. He wants us to pray for our enemies.
RUTH 2:8-12
“Then Boaz said to Ruth, ‘You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close to my young women. Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? An when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.” Then she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, ‘Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?’And Boaz answered and said to her, ‘It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given to you by the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.’”
All this happened because Naomi, the mother-in-law, had been kind to Ruth, Ruth had been kind to her, and Boaz, a wealthy relative and landowner was kind to Ruth and to Naomi. Later on Ruth and Boaz were married.
God wants us to live in love. However, while living in love is good and God’s will for us, it is not good enough to open the gates of heaven to us. The only way we can get there is by repenting, asking God to forgive us, and receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to Father God, except through Jesus (John 14:6).
CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL OBEY
We live from day to day and every single day we have to make many decisions. Because every decision has consequences we have to be very careful as to what we decide to do. The bottom line is…whom do we want to obey? We can obey the Devil, the flesh, the world, ourselves or God.
1 PETER 5:8-9
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”
In other words, the devil is walking around looking how to make us fall, how to make us sin, how to draw us away from God. We have to be aware of his tricks.
GENESIS 2:15-17
“Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’”Genesis 3:4-6 – “And the serpent said to the woman. ‘You shall not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.”
Eve chose to obey the devil rather than God, and Adam chose to obey his wife rather than God. Sin entered the world through them and we are now paying the consequences.
JOSHUA 24:15-16
In the following passage, Joshua, who took over the leadership after Moses died, was telling the Israelites: “‘And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.’ So the people answered and said: ‘Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods.’”
Joshua was giving the people an option whether to serve other so-called gods, or the Creator of the universe. We get to choose on a daily basis whom we shall serve.
DEUTERONOMY 30:19-20
This is what God told His people: “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I (God) have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
WHOM ARE WE OBEYING?
The worst thing we can do is to obey the devil. In other words, we move completely away from God’s will. Not only do we fall into sin, but we are enjoying it, and do not want to depart from it. It is second nature to us and it is dominating us.
Maybe we don’t follow the devil, but we follow the flesh. We give the body whatever it wants, when it wants it. It could be more food, liquor, no exercise, loafing, having sex out of marriage, being addicted to medication, partying and so on.
It could be that we follow the world. if most of the people are doing it, it must be okay for us to do it too. If that is our case, then we are obeying the world. Many people are doing exactly that. Lately, people are tattooing themselves, putting rings on their noses and wearing clothes that only a homeless person would have worn a few years ago.
Some of us just do what pleases us. In other words; that’s the way I like it, that’s what I want, and that’s what I am going to do. As long as it pleases us, it does not matter what others think or if it goes against God’s will. After all, I am the captain of my ship.
Of course, the one who really should matter to us is God. Everything we do should be according to God’s will. As long as it pleases God, it should not matter if it does not please anybody else. After all, God has the final say as to where our souls will spend eternity.
Just to make it crystal clear let me reiterate the five entities you can obey: The devil, the flesh, the world (society), yourself, God. Only you can decide which one you will obey at any given time. All of them have consequences, so you have to think
Cinco entidades influyen nuestras decisiones.
DEUTERONOMIO 30:19-20
¿A QUIÉN ESTAMOS OBEDECIENDO?
GOD, REMOVE MY BLINDERS
Our visin, hearing, feeling, understanding and abilities are limited. Not only do we not see, hear, feel or not have full knowledge of everything we think we know, but many times we do not really understand what we see, hear, feek, or what is happening around us. We are like puppets in a complicated world.
PROVERBS 3:5-8
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways complicated world. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the
Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.”
We cannot go by what we see, hear, feel, understand, or by our own will. We should pray to God and do His will at all times.
PSALM 37:3-6
“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”
If we trust the Lord, He will do what is best for us. Many times we really do not know what is best for us, but God knows.
JEREMIAH 9:23-24
“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,’ says the Lord.”
The Lord delights in us trusting in Him and giving Him the glory He deserves. The only one who deserves our praises and worship is God.
EZEKIEL 12:1-2
“Now the word of the Lord came to me (the prophet Ezekiel), saying: ‘Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear; for they are a rebellious house.’”
God was referring to the Jewish people, but in essence all of us are blind and deaf to the will of God. We try to live our lives according to our whims, wishes and desires. Many times we do not pay attention to what God is trying to tell us.
JEREMIAH 5:21
Through the prophet Jeremiah, God told His chosen people: “’Hear this now, o foolish people, without understanding, who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not: ‘Do you not fear Me? says the Lord. Will you not tremble at My presence, who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.’”
People have ears, eyes and a brain, but they lack understanding. This applies to atheists, agnostics, hard-headed people and the ones in false religions. No matter what they see, hear or are exposed to, they will not accept the fact that the only way to heaven is Jesus.
PROVERBS 28:26
“Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered.”
We need to walk in God’s wisdom, which is complete and much deeper than ours. We should not live according to our wisdom or the world’s principles.
JOHN 16:13-14
“However, when He, the Spirit of the truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me (JESUS), for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”
Jesus was telling His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit because He would be with them to guide, protect and provide for them. Just as the Holy Spirit was with the disciples, He can be with us if we live a righteous life, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to be with us.
All of us have blinders of one sort or another. We need to ask God to remove them from us. God can open up our spiritual eyes, ears and understanding, so we can live a godly life, doing God’s will, not ours.

FOOLS RUSH IN
There is a saying that says: “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.” The real meaning is that foolish people do dangerous things that a wise person would not do. They do not think things out; they just act impulsively. They not only cause problems for themselves, but they cause them for other people as well.
JEREMIAH 4:22
“For My people are foolish, they have not known Me (God). They are silly children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.”
Psalm 53:1 – “The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.”
People do many foolish things, but none compare to not believing in God and not believing His written word. Not receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior will send us to eternal judgment with the devil and his demons.
1 CORINTHIANS 3:18-20
“Let no man deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness;” and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”
Our earthly wisdom is nothing compared to God’s wisdom. He is wisdom, light, love and everything else positive that exists. We can outsmart people and even ourselves, but we cannot outsmart God.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:20-21
“Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.”
The message of God becoming human, dying on the cross, and resurrecting on the third day sounds foolish to unbelievers, but to the believer it is salvation.
PROVERBS 12:15-16
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise. A fool’s wrath is known at once, but a prudent man covers shame.”
A fool does not listen to advice because he thinks he knows everything. He may think he is right and everybody else is wrong. He may deny God’s existence by rationalizing and justifying it with faulty premises, but at the final judgment he will be found guilty.
PROVERBS 9:10-12
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me (wisdom) your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, and if you scoff, you alone will bear it.”
If we do not have the fear of the Lord, we do not have any wisdom. Wisdom or the lack of it determine how our lives are lived on this earth and where we will spend eternity. There are only two places: heaven and hell.
The biggest fool, by far, is the one who refuses to believe in God, and winds up suffering throughout eternity. If you do not want to be a fool, and want to spend eternity with God and not with the devil, repent, ask God to forgive your sins, ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior and try to live a decent life. Read the following prayer, and when you, more or less, understand it, pray it to God aloud in all sincerity, humility, seriousness and faith. God will hear you and will accept you as His child.
“Father God, I repent of all my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I believe, declare and confess that Jesus is Your Son, that He shed His blood, died on the cross and resurrected on the third day. He did all that to offer us salvation. I receive Him as my Lord and Savior, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank You Father God. Amen.”

Gracias Dios Padre. Amén.”
THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO A MAN
Since people want to live their own way and do things according to their wishes, they can justify anything they do. They can rationalize their sin by saying such things as; everybody is doing it, life is meant to be enjoyed, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s only for fun and I’m not hurting anybody.
PROVERBS 14:12
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
Smoking, drinking, abusing drugs seem right to many people, but in the end they die sooner than they normally would. There are other sins that can also lead to a premature death. The biggest punishment, however, is not in this lifetime, but in eternity – spending eternity in the lake of fire.
GENESIS 3:6-7
“So when the woman (Eve) saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”
To eat the fruit of the forbidden tree seemed right to Adam and Eve, but in God’s eyes it was complete disobedience, and now all of us are paying the consequences.
2 SAMUEL 11:2-5
“Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” Then David sent messengers, and took her, and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.”
Since David was the king, he had the power to do anything he wanted. It seemed right to him to have sex with somebody else’s wife. God punished both David and Bathsheba by taking their child’s life.
GENESIS 13:8-11
“So Abram said to Lot (his nephew), “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brothers. Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.”
The plain of Jordan seemed right to Lot, but Sodom and Gomorrah were full of sin, and God destroyed them. Before we make any big decision we ought to pray to God to guide us because He knows what is best for us. What may seem right to us can turn out to be totally wrong.
MATTHEW 26:14-16
“Then one of the twelve (disciples), called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him (Jesus) to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him (Jesus).
Betraying Jesus for money seemed like the right thing to do to Judas, but it took him to the first death and the second one as well. The Pharisees thought getting rid of Jesus was the right thing to do, but in actuality for them it was the worst thing they could have done.
The world and society are moving farther and farther away from God. What seems right to society is not right with God. A Christian should not follow society, but he or she should follow God. Through His word in the Bible, God clearly tells us what is right and what is wrong. Just because society accepts something does not mean it is correct or that we the Christians should accept it.

ONLY THE FAITHFUL
Most people think that all religious people go to heaven. Going to heaven is not based on how religious a person is, but rather on his relationship with God. The only ones who will go to heaven are the ones who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and who will have been faithful until the end. The ones who persevere will hear God say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
JOHN 14:6-7
In John 14:6-7, Jesus told Doubting Thomas: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
Jesus is saying that the only way to come to Father God and to attain salvation is through Him. It’s not through religion, philosophy or doctrine, but by having a relationship with Jesus Himself.
REVELATION 2:10-11
In Revelation 2:10-11, God tells the church of Smyrna: “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you in prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”
We will enter the gates of heaven and will receive the crown of salvation if we persevere as a born-again Christian and if we stay faithful to God until we die.
MATTHEW 25:20-21
“So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, “Lord, You delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them. His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
This is one of Jesus’ parables. The owner is really God, the man who received the five talents is any person who is faithful to God, and “entering the joy of the Lord” is when a child of God dies and enters heaven. God has given each one of us a talent or more. He wants us to use those talents to serve Him by blessing others.
2 CHRONICLES 16:9
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal (faithful) to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”
God is looking for people who are loyal and faithful to Him, so He can bless them and use them to do His will here on earth.
PROVERBS 28;20
“A faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.”
God will bless a faithful person, but not the one whose God is money. Money is an idol and God hates idolatry. The love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Money in itself is
good if used for the right purpose. In this life money is indispensable and a lot of good can, has and will be done with it.
Most people whose grandmother has died will say, “My Grandma is in heaven.” In some cases it is true, but in a lot of them it is not. The only people who make it to heaven are the ones who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If you have not received Him as your Lord and Savior this is the perfect time for you to do it. Aloud in all sincerity, humility and faith pray the following prayer to Him. He will hear you, and will receive you as His child.
“Father God, I repent of all my sins. I am asking You to forgive me, as I believe and declare that Jesus is Your Son, that He suffered, shed His blood, died on the cross and resurrected on the third day. He did all that to pay for my sins. I accept His sacrifice, as well as accepting Him as my Lord and Savior. I also ask the Holy Spirit to live in me, so He can guide me and protect me. Thank You God. Amen.”

SOLAMENTE LOS FIELES
Mire, he ganado otras cinco mil.”
Gracias, Dios Padre. Amen.”
